Surgery Update

Having some computer glitches so I'm going to do a quick update from my phone.
Lily is scheduled for her palate repair tomorrow (Tuesday) from 8:30-11:00 am.
Please pray for the following...
*her doctor and the team working on Lily
*for Lily to respond well to the repair and have a voice that is intelligble and that she is eager to learn to talk.
*for minimal pain and discomfort after surgery
*for lily to be able to eat well and adjust to her liquid diet for 3 weeks
*for peace in our hearts as we send our little angel off to surgery

We know that she is in the best hands of all..our sweet Savior...and He is preparing
the way for us.

Thank you for lifting up Lily as God brings her to mind.

Our youngest had his palate repair in February. We knew he'd need it when we adopted him. We planned for it immediately. We talked about it. But somehow, I didn't realize how worried, how upset, how scared I was until we were in the middle of it. I will pray for all those things you listed. I will pray for an easy surgery with no complications, and a speedy recovery. I will pray that your Lily channels the resilience you know she must carry deep within to have come so far in her short little life already. I will pray that you have peace in your hearts. And I will pray for grace to handle the surgery, the first night after, and the coming weeks. Good luck!

My brother-in-law has a palate problem. Unfortunately, he didn't undergo any surgery due to financial constraints and grew up with low self-esteem. Undergoing a surgery is more than just repairing the physical defects.
